Single-screen sequence comprising ‘Town’, ‘Envelope Constructions’ and ‘Writing without Moving’.
The work visually enacts and prolongs the experience of writing to examine the uneasy balance between process and product; writer and reader. ‘Town’ places the viewer inside the telling of a story and ‘Envelope Constructions’ follows the methodical meandering of the story-making process. ‘Writing without Moving’ engages with both of these concerns while making the narrative take place within itself. Together, the videos create a space within the texture of writing in which process and product begin to enact one another.
