In the film I explain in plain words what I mean in each section of my essay "Napping the Fray", which uses intentionally dense and impenetrable language. My spoken explanation is inaudible in the film as the only sound is a word-for-word recital of the original text. My gestures and facial expressions now work as loose, incoherent illustrations as any attempt to make a definitive reading is overshadowed by the presence of the text itself.
