The book is the 62nd volume of a hand-written diary I have been adding to daily for ten years, but in "diary 62", two months of daily thoughts, events and plans are noted down not in words, but in loops.
The loops are both given voice and rendered mute by their collocation with language. Silent and eloquent in the same breath, the marks spring out of the page into the world of things, and simultaneously draw themselves inwards, into the world of their own surface.
