Liverpool Biennial Long Night

Any Ideas

A participatory project by Tamarin Norwood
Part of the Long Night of the Biennial
Thursday 30 October 2008; 6 - 11pm
The Bridewell Gallery, 101 Prescot Street, Kensington, Liverpool L7 8UL

Seen any artwork that's made you laugh, cry or pause for thought this year in Liverpool? What do you think of this year's Biennial? Is the Capital of Culture award making a difference - or are you wondering what all the fuss is about?

Throughout the Biennial Long Night, the Bridewell Gallery is inviting members of the public to drop in and have their say.  All the comments, critiques, suggestions and thoughts recorded over the evening will be woven together by artist Tamarin Norwood into a continuous fabric of spoken sound, to make a spontaneous review of art in Liverpool 2008. The finished work will be available to download as a free podcast for th
e duration of the Biennial.

In addition, a number of Bridewell Studios artists will be opening their studio spaces and displaying their work, providing an opportunity to see some of what goes on behind the scenes of this fascinating building.

For further information, call 0151 263 6730, or email the Gallery Coordinator, Jo Moore, at jo.moore@bridewellstudios.co.uk.

Any Ideas is part of the Long Night of the Biennial, a city-wide event during which night-time Liverpool will be transformed as an unprecedented number of the city's arts institutions keep their doors open into the night.  A nocturnal feast of art, events, music, film and performance, the Long Night will give visitors a very special experience of the visual arts in Liverpool.

With free torchlit tours, music, film, exhibiti
ons and artist talks, there's plenty going on - for full details, visit the Long Night website at www.biennial.com/longnight.  Programmes will be available next week from all participating organisations.
